Dear 多多直播 Community 鈥
I wanted to inform you that I have requested an agenda item for consideration at the February 24-25, 2022 meeting of the Board of Regents to appoint Pat Pitney as the University of Alaska鈥檚 permanent president, effectively removing 鈥淚nterim鈥 from her title.
I requested this item for consideration by the full Board based on President Pitney鈥檚 performance and ability to create stability for the university as we navigated challenging times. She has led in a calm and stable manner. I believe that initiating a full presidential search at this time would be disruptive to the university鈥檚 progress.
The motion will be published in the board agenda when it is posted on February 10.
